Training Coordinator, PACE Program

This Training Coordinator will support the curriculum development and coordination for the Professional Apprenticeship for Consulting Excellence (PACE) Program. The PACE Program aims to accelerate the pace of professional development by providing on-the-job and classroom training over a 12-week professional development program. Apprentices engage in paid, client-focused work experience as part of project teams with partner consulting firms. Over the course of the program, eight hours per week is dedicated to classroom training to develop essential skills for consultants.

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the multiple participating consulting firms, university professors, and industry leaders to provide meaningful trainings for classes of PACE apprentices. The position requires experience in curriculum design and development, event planning, and communication. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and professionally articulate their thoughts and ideas to senior stakeholders across the consulting, education, and federal government fields. Successful candidates will also have an interest in public sector consulting and will have the opportunity to work with government clients on contract in addition to the coordination of training. Analysts and project coordinators with at least two years of applicable professional experience are invited to apply for this position. We ask that you highlight your experience with federal agencies and interagency collaboration and / or strong curriculum design experience and applicable education.

General Requirements

  • Minimum Education: bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable professional experience
  • Experience with curriculum design and development, event planning, and communication
  • Experience within the federal government is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact well with various personalities in diverse organizational cultures

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Management
  • Teaching and curriculum design
  • Strategic and tactical planning
  • Support meeting logistics / planning / facilitation
  • Liaise between government POCs and contractors
  • Interact with senior-level government executives
  • Produce executive-level briefings and summaries / status of activities
